The Jasmine plant (Jasminum officinale), known as true jasmine, originates from the Himalayas and western China and has been cultivated since ancient times for its beguiling fragrance. With an average height of around 10 to 30 cm, these flowers are ideally sized to fulfill both decorative and functional purposes, bringing a harmonious combination of nature and luminescence to your surroundings.
Jasmine is ideal as a decorative houseplant or for the balcony. Its sweet, pleasant fragrance creates a calming atmosphere and can be placed near seating areas or bedrooms. Please note that this plant is not suitable for consumption and should not be used to make tea.
The real jasmine (Jasminum officinale) loves bright locations with indirect sunlight. A spot by the window that is protected from draughts is ideal. Water the plant regularly so that the soil always remains slightly moist but waterlogging is avoided. During the growing season (spring and summer), we recommend adding a liquid flower fertilizer once a month. In winter, the jasmine should be kept in a cooler location at approx. 10-15 °C.
